Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Begin your safari with an early morning drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Explore the park’s iconic baobab trees and large herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, and lions on a thrilling game drive. After a day filled with wildlife sightings, settle into your lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Ndutu
After breakfast, drive to Lake Ndutu in the southern Serengeti area. Known for its seasonal wildlife migrations, the area is rich in predators and grazing herds. Spend the day exploring the area, spotting cheetahs, lions, and wildebeest. Overnight stay at a lodge or camp near Lake Ndutu.
Day 3: Full Day at Lake Ndutu
Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Lake Ndutu region, renowned for the Great Migration during certain seasons. Witness herds of wildebeest and zebras, and the predators that follow them, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Return to your accommodation in the evening for a well-deserved rest.
Day 4: Full Day at Lake Ndutu
Continue your exploration of Lake Ndutu with another full day of game drives. Depending on the time of year, witness the incredible calving season or the dramatic predator-prey interactions. This area offers some of the best wildlife sightings in the Serengeti ecosystem. End the day at your lodge or camp.
Day 5: Lake Ndutu to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a half-day safari, where you’ll encounter the Big Five, including black rhinos, lions, and elephants. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before ascending back to the rim and heading to your next destination near Lake Eyasi.
Day 6: Ngorongoro to Lake Eyasi (Cultural Experience)
Drive to Lake Eyasi in the morning, where you’ll spend the afternoon engaging with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Participate in a traditional hunt with the Hadzabe tribe and learn about their unique way of life. Explore the Datoga tribe’s blacksmithing skills before spending the night at a lodge or camp near Lake Eyasi.
Day 7: Lake Eyasi to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife. Day 8: Lake Manyara to Lake Natron
