Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Start your safari adventure with a morning drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Spend the day exploring the park’s diverse ecosystems, spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, and various bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive. In the evening, relax at a lodge or tented camp near Tarangire.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, travel to Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in Central Serengeti and embark on an afternoon game drive, where you'll begin spotting wildlife such as lions, leopards, and zebras. Enjoy dinner and overnight at a lodge or camp in Serengeti.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day in Serengeti, one of the most famous wildlife areas in the world. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, with opportunities to witness the Great Migration (seasonal), as well as predators such as cheetahs, lions, and hyenas. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and a restful night.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Depart Serengeti early and drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into this caldera for a full day of game viewing, spotting the Big Five, including elephants, lions, rhinos, and buffaloes. Visit the crater lake and enjoy a picnic lunch in this spectacular wildlife haven. In the evening, drive to a lodge or camp near Ngorongoro for overnight.
Day 5: Ngorongoro to Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, travel to Lake Eyasi, where you’ll have a chance to learn about the traditional lifestyles of the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Participate in a morning hunt with the Hadzabe, and explore their unique way of life. Visit the Datoga tribe to see their blacksmithing skills. Overnight at a lodge or camp near Lake Eyasi.
Day 6: Lake Eyasi to Lake Manyara National Park
Head to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and abundant birdlife. Spend the day exploring the park’s diverse habitats, from the lakeshore to acacia woodlands, and enjoy game drives spotting elephants, flamingos, and more. After lunch, travel to your accommodation near Mkomazi for the night.
Day 7: Mkomazi National Park
Enjoy a day at Mkomazi National Park, an off-the-beaten-path gem known for its black rhino conservation and efforts to protect African wild dogs. Enjoy game drives in the park, observing elephants, giraffes, and various bird species in a less crowded environment. Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 8: Mkomazi to Lake Natron
After breakfast, journey to Lake Natron, a strikingly beautiful soda lake with flamingos gathered on its shores. Take a walk along the lake’s crimson-colored waters, learn about its unique ecosystem, and visit nearby waterfalls for a refreshing break. Afterward, travel to your lodge near Lake Natron for overnight.
Day 9: Lake Natron to Arusha
Enjoy a final morning at Lake Natron before beginning your journey back to Arusha. After lunch, drive back to Arusha, where your safari adventure will conclude with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
